To ensure your gallery is ready in time for baby’s birthday celebration, it's best to schedule your session 4–6 weeks in advance of when you'd like the photos. Most clients book when baby is around 8–9 months old to secure Kristin’s availability. First birthday and cake smash sessions book quickly, so early planning is key!

Kristin specializes in timeless, minimalistic first birthday photos using a clean white backdrop. This intentional aesthetic ensures the focus stays on your baby’s expressions, movements, and personality—never a distracting or overly themed set. The result? Classic images you’ll love forever.

Yes! All outfits and props featured in Kristin’s cake smash and milestone portfolio are available in her curated client closet. You’re welcome to bring one special outfit for a portrait portion, but most clients choose to style their entire session with pieces from the studio wardrobe to keep the look cohesive, modern, and refined.

Parents are responsible for bringing the cake, but don’t worry—Kristin will send you all the specifications ahead of time, including tips for size, color, and ingredients that photograph beautifully and match the set’s clean aesthetic.

Totally normal! Kristin will send you a detailed session prep guide with plenty of tips to help your little one feel comfortable with the cake. Even if your baby is hesitant, Kristin uses a gentle, playful approach to capture joyful, authentic moments—and ensures you leave with beautiful, personality-filled images of this milestone.

Absolutely! You can add a quick parent or sibling image to your in-studio birthday session for $200.

Prefer a separate mini family session on the beach instead? That’s available for $350 and includes 5 additional images. 

All birthday and milestone sessions are held in studio on weekdays for the best lighting and comfort for baby.

However, if you’d love a beach family photo session to accompany your baby’s milestone, a summer beach mini session can be added for $350 and includes 5 images. These sessions are held one hour before sunset between June–August.

To provide a calm, distraction-free environment for your little one, all sessions are scheduled weekdays, Monday through Thursday, between 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM. These morning hours are ideal for happy, well-rested babies!
