Charleigh's First Birthday Paint Smash

Charleigh's mom reached out to me in the summer to start talking about her first birthday session. I couldn't believe how on top of things she was. Between the build up and the creative idea, it made me even more excited about this paint smash birthday shoot!

Charleigh disposition was so endearing; she is sweet and mild mannered. I feel like these photos really capture her personality. We started off with the traditional birthday portraits. the clean and simple setup puts the focus solely on Charliegh and her big, beautiful blue eyes!

First Birthday Photos

Mom brought edible paint just to make sure that we wouldn't have anything to worry about; anyone who has a baby knows that everything always ends up in their mouths! We had a simple designscape of rainbow balloons, a canvas, and an easel.

Just like a traditional cake smash, Charleigh was a little apprehensive and a little curious at first. However, that ended pretty quickly and she got right into it. Charleigh decorated her ONE canvas and even a few balloons got messy. The end result was Charleigh looking adorable all covered in paint!
