As 2025 comes to a close, I can’t help but reflect with so much gratitude and excitement on everything this year has brought for Kristin Baker Photography + Design. It’s been another amazing year of capturing love, laughter, and all of those fleeting, heart-stopping moments that make family life so special. From posed newborn sessions to family portraits on the beach, every session has been a reminder of why I love what I do.
This year was bursting with variety and joy. I photographed so many sweet newborn sessions, where tiny fingers and sleepy smiles filled my studio with warmth. Watching new parents settle into their roles and seeing the love that radiates from them never gets old.
My sitter sessions were equally heartwarming—those big milestone smiles and wobbly sits are some of the cutest memories to capture! Family sessions were another highlight, both in the Manasquan studio and out on the Jersey Shore beaches, where soft sunsets and salty breezes made for stunning backdrops.
My studio maternity sessions continue to be a favorite. These sessions beautifully celebrate the anticipation and strength of motherhood. Every expectant mother who stepped in front of my camera this year brought her own glow, and it’s such an honor to preserve that beauty before her baby arrives.
One of the most exciting additions in 2025 was the introduction of lifestyle newborn sessions! These in-home or in-studio sessions have been such a special way to capture natural, cozy moments between parents, siblings, and their new baby in a familiar setting.
After moving last winter, I’ve been so grateful to continue welcoming families into my home studio—a cozy, light-filled space that has seen countless snuggles, smiles, and sleepy newborns. It’s been such a joy to continue creating timeless images in this environment, but I’m thrilled to share that plans are officially underway for an amazing, custom, studio space.
This upcoming studio will take everything I’ve learned over the years and elevate it—more space, more props, more maternity gowns, more artwork, and more opportunities to create beautiful, connection-filled portraits. I can confidently say it’s going to put my previous studios to shame in all the best ways.
Of course, no matter how the space looks, one thing will never change: the care, attention, and artistry that go into every single image. My goal has always been to create meaningful photographs that celebrate your family’s love and connection—and that will remain at the heart of every session.
This year also marked the return of Christmas Mini Sessions, and they were a huge hit! Seeing so many familiar faces (and meeting new ones) made the holiday season extra magical. The laughter, amazing outfits, and twinkling lights made each session full of festive joy—I’m already dreaming up ideas for next year’s setup!
As I look forward to the year ahead, I feel endlessly thankful for every family who trusted me to capture their stories in 2025. Your support and love mean the world to me. 2026 already promises to be a year filled with new beginnings, milestone memories, and countless sweet snuggles.
If you’re expecting, I’m currently booking due dates through June 2026—so don’t wait to reach out and reserve your session. I’d be honored to help you celebrate your baby’s first days in a way that feels natural, beautiful, and timeless.
Here’s to more love, more laughter, and more unforgettable moments in 2026!
